On Saturday, July 11th, in the church belonging to the monastery of the Holy Spirit in Vilnius, which hosted Icon of Czestochowa for the night, Archbishop Innocent, assisted by Archimandrite Vasil Novinsky with the clergy from the monastery and various parishes of Vilnius, celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
The Ambassador of Russia to Lithuania, Vladimir Chikvadze, and other representatives of the diplomatic corps, together with the parishioners of the Orthodox churches of Vilnius and guests from other cities, participated in the festive Divine Liturgy.
After the celebration, Archbishop Innocent greeted all who came to venerate the Icon of Our Lady, Help of Christians, with his arch-pastoral word and wished them the assistance of Mary.
After celebrating the Divine Liturgy of Czestochowa icon yet stayed only three more hours in the Church of the Holy Spirit. Afterwards, people were able to pray individually and touch the Icon.
At 2:00 p.m., the sound of bells and the Marian hymns, the Icon was carried out of the church and returned to representatives of another diocese.
