The collegiate church St. Gallus and St. Otmar was the last prayer stop in Switzerland. It was a very quiet morning. Here we should say goodbye to the icon together with our German friends Georg Fleischmann and Wolfgang Hering. Not long before 8 o’clock Georg Fleischmann called to tell me they won’t make it to St. Gallen because of a problem with the car.
So, at 8 a.m. we Swiss sang a song to welcome Mother Mary in St. Gallen. After the Rosary we sang again and people could bring their own intercessions to Mary. At 9 a.m. the pastor of the cathedral, Josef Raschle, had the last Holy Mass for us with Our Lady of Jasna Gora. Afterwards, it was hard to bring the icon to the trailer and to let the people say goodbye.
It was a very good time with the icon in Switzerland. Many people asked when the icon is coming back to Switzerland. Everybody was touched by the loving hand of our dearest mother.

Then, everything had to go quickly. We drove the icon to Constance, Germany, where we finally met Georg and Wolfgang. It was very sad to see the icon leave. I will miss her, but Mary will always stay with us. Thank you!
